I've warned the wife that when I get all my current projects done, I'm building a replica of this one:

For an M-body AHB? If it hasn't been rebuilt then it's too much. The things have been whipped the s*** out of. If it's been gone over, then I could see the price tag.

On occassion you'll find one like mine that went from a fire inspector's car to an older man who is a car guy, but in the vast majority of cases they got the snot whipped out of them. Haven't seen a good AHB/A-38 just driving around in years.

Good thing it went to the older guy. Most of the ones around here went straight to auction where the cab companies swooped in and bought 'em all up. Didn't matter what the municipal use was. Even parking or code enforcement, all the cab companies wanted 'em and it was hard for folks to outbid 'em.

Once the cab companies got ahold of 'em...well, then the treatment they got made the previous use look very gentle in comparison.

That sticker on the drivers door of the Michigan cop car, the yellow arrow like, looks like lightning bolt at high speeds and the red light spinning on full power. The whole area around glows and flashes red--in mid day sunshine! really neat The light makes the arrow seem to be flashing and at high speeds looks like a bolt of lightning charging on down..too bad many didn't have the knock out punch power to get up to high speeds quickly , lol

I never noticed that. I'll have to look more closely when I see one.

Yeah, that's why I grabbed it when Garland gave a price/swap deal. Funny thing is, years earlier I sold him an Okanogan Fire Dept. Power Wagon...so now he has one of mine and I have one of his

The guy I sold my '69 Coronet to had one for his daily driver, but that was years ago when it wasn't such a big deal.

Yeah D; I've admitted to getting a few in the past and using them for parts. To be fair they were ragged out, no cream puffs. Kinda like Crown Vic's today, they are everywhere and cheap to get parts for because they are plentiful- but in 10 to 12 years, well...
