78 Aspen tail lights ?

Did all 1978 Aspen (coupes&sedans) use the tail lights that had the amber turn signal lens, or just the Super Coupes ? A friend needs a left side (driver's side) with the amber TS lens.

All 78 non-wagons used the lens with amber segment.
One year only year with amber.

Can the lens be switched from housing to fit on either side of car ?

No. Left and right lenses are different. Left one seems to be the hard one to find. Took me forever to find a nice one but they do come up once in a while.

No. Left and right lenses are different. Left one seems to be the hard one to find. Took me forever to find a nice one but they do come up once in a while.

Wonder why that is? '79 is the same way. You see right side NOS lenses quite often, but very rarely a left side. One of those mysteries of history I guess.
