hard to find NOS 4piece door guard trim,,good for your 4 door aspen or volare

i was just lookin at them again and ther that nice thick chrome,not that polished aluminum trim ,will look nice on someones car
 
will they fit a 87 fifth ave, the only thing that worries me is the cutout for the door trim.
 
how are they different ?He said they would fit a diplomat and the 5th ave is the same ??

My 79 Medallion rear doors will not fit a 80-89 M. But 76-80 F rear doors will.
Look at the rear roof line and the wheel well.

I looked at pictures and hard to see difference, my daughter had a 78 aspen and it had the door edge guards and I was going to put them on my 5th ave, but she sold the car. If I remember I looked at both cars and they looked like they would fit ?
 
  • Parts Interchange, 76-80 are one animal and 80-89 is another
  • 1976 to 1980 4-door Aspen, Volare, 1976 to 1979 4-door LeBaron and Diplomat
  • 1980 to 1989 4-door Diplomat, 1980-1981 Lebaron, 1982 New Yorker, 1983 New Yorker Fifth Avenue, 1984-1989 Fifth Avenue, 1982-1989 Gran Fury. NOTE: Fifth Avenue rear doors are the same as Diplomat and Gran Fury doors. The small rear side glass is just covered to match the padded vinyl roof.
 
The door frame around the windows is the thing that is different. I found that out trying to get some doors for the back of my wagon. The door skin is the same.
 
So I am confused if the door skin is the same then they should fit ???
