I have 1980 Chrysler lebaron with the 3.7l 225ci and I want to convert it to a 4 barrel with some kick this is a stock /6. I know I have to mod intake but is there any other things I need to worry about like pistons or anything of that sort cause I want some sealed power pistons but idk if it's right ???

Any help will be appreciated

A 750 double pumper is WAY too much for a S6. Unless it's highly modified and has forced induction, a small 4 bbl like a 450 is much better. On a stock engine that's still probably too much carb, even if jetted down. I'm not a S6 guy but chances are you'd do better with a 2bbl from a Super Six and I'm sure the S6 guys will chime in and either agree with me, or call me an idiot:D

youd be better off putting a standalone fuel injection system on it than anything else.
the slant six intake has some serious issues for carbs/fuel distribution.

ok, why is the 390 so expensive now at almost $600. A refurbished one at $300. WOW.

I've been told the 450 actually works better than the 390 for a single carb......

I was thinking about changing to efi but I thought it was to much stuff to convert but this guy was selling the doubler pumper for a 100 bucks and I started to think how I can make it work and the right way. Plus everybody suggest 390 and I wanted something a little different. I have read tons of forums and everyone suggest 390, is there anything just as good or better

if you are going to cam it up and put Good pistons in it With Good rings, then yes a 450 cfm would probably be okay as long as you Tune it in.
just keep in mind,do NOT go crazy on the cam or you will waste your time and money trying to make it streetable.

ps,i see you have an 80 lebaron,as do i,may we ask for Pics of your Ride?

Yes I will take some now and it was hard to find but I made sure to get her and the real project is the 440 I want to put in it never done but should have been and beaterus what's some good piston

Half a 750 is a 375, just run it on the primary's and pull the linkage off the secondarys.

sounds you are at the crossroads i am already at.
what to do...big block small block or ?

i finally decided to stick a stock drivetrain back in,and then start building up a Big block combo for later.
id advise you to go the same route and Save your money from a long hard road of disappointments.
ps,that /6 is Never going to impress you.

for gas mileage sure but for anything else V-8 it and dont waste your time man.
just my opinion.

I understand that but I'm building it anyway so I can put it in a rat rod bout the only thing worthy of it. And the most I will do is 8.25 rear end better shocks and most likely find a kmember that fits big block. Found a motor mounts for big block to slant but 159 plus shipping not bad but I just want the k member and want to convert to awd another luxury it should have came with lol. I got the idea with a 84 Cutlass awd on Hoonigans

No such thing as a big block K for these cars, only /6 and SB. Both require the use of conversion motor mounts. If you're going BB, then stick with the K you have.

Or you can remove all blankets from your K frame and build everything you need for a bigblock.

okay im a bit confused and i think you maybe as well.
first off, forget the awd thing, its been done and it ends up with the car sitting on a 4x4 chassis.
second, you should figure out which way you want to go,if you are gonna big block it then go big all the way big radiator big brakes swap and so forth.
im new to the m-bodies myself sorta,i never got much into the whole sideways suspension.
im learning a lot reading the topics and stickies pinned at the tops of the forums,
you should go read some of those.

however,i can tell you that a ford exploder rearend/8.8,
is near identical width and the leaf springs are withing a qtr inch of the factory mounts on our cars.
and, bonus,a lot of them were made with 3:73 gears with limited slips,
like the 2 ive gotten for free already from junkers.
just a thought for whatever you decide to build.

I understand but don't you have to do cut the 8.8 and is there anyway to prevent it from just sitting on a chassis and is there any new Dodge/Chrysler rear ends that's worth custom fitting??
