I just got word that Phil Lagerquist passed away today. Some of you may know him. Kit Car Phil. He had the un-assembled kit car on display at the Mopar Nats a couple years ago. RIP Phil.

I just heard not 5 minutes ago. He was one of the best guys in our hobby. He invited me in to see his collections, and projects. It was simply a pleasure to have known him.

God speed

Thats nuts, I seen his kit car find when he was on his way home with it. Dam, us mopar guys are dropping like flies.

Does anyone know what did him in? He was a busy hard worker for sure.

There was apparently a accident at his new shop he was working on. I'll fill in details as I get them.

Here's Celebration of Life information.

Shine, Show and Share-A celebration of Philip's life will be on Saturday, August 31st at his "new building" at 10188 US Hwy 65, Iowa Falls, IA. This event will begin at 1:00 pm and who knows how long we will enjoy the stories! If you have a car or something fun to show, please bring that for others to enjoy. We will try to get a few of Phil's classics over to this location for others to enjoy. Please bring a chair and we will have some of Phil's favorite foods...we know we can't do his food justice, but we will try! Phil had not completed this building project, so there is no running water or electricity at this location.

On Sunday, September 1st, Phil will take his last ride for graveside services in Cedar Rapids at Cedar Memorial cemetery at 2:00 pm. Anyone that would like to go on one last cruise with Phil are welcome to travel from Iowa Falls to Cedar Rapids with us. At this time, he will be taking this last ride with two of his best buddies in their Little Red Express truck.

Flowers and plants weren't really his thing...but if you would like to send condolences that we can share with other family members, they can be directed to our addresses at 801 Sherman Avenue, Ackley, IA 50601.

There was a celebration of life celebration in Iowa Falls today in memory of Phil. There was plenty of friends, stories, photos of his life and plenty of Old Mill Red's to drink. His body will be transported from Iowa Falls to his burial in Cedar Rapids tomorrow in the back of his buddy Terry's Little Red Express truck. RIP Phil.

A fitting tribute to Phil.

Doesn't matter I suppose but, why so long between Phil's passing and the burial? Or am I misreading something?

I don't know why but he has been at the funeral home until today when they will transport him south To Cedar Rapids for his burial.
