For now, and for the member who is interested in more pics... I'll work on getting updated pics, engine bay etc, shortly: Here's some pis of when I first got it, before it was even cleaned. Exterior is the same now except the rear spoiler is gone (I bought the Firebird one for it instead). The...

SOLD '83 Mirada project for sale, solid solid car, many many new parts (go race or street) - near MKE

I swear I had some here, but can't find them now. I'll have to go get some new ones soon. It's still original charcoal/gray under the hood (like the floors/trunk), and pretty typical/average condition, except for the fresh paint on the K and all suspension parts.

Selling my 1982 Dodge Mirada T-Top car

I should have just bought your car instead of rebuilding mine from the ground up LOL... I love your car. Black, T-Tops, 10-spokes... what more could you ask for? Unless you really need the money or the space, I'm with the rest of these guys... keep it and just drive it regularly as it was...

J Body Hardest parts to find

This. For now at least. Until someone has owned one of these cars and had to find a windshield for one, they wouldn't understand. It becomes a question of "is it worth it?" with these cars. Yes, I like the J-bodies, and would like to see more of them saved. But when the travel to or shipping...

'83 Mirada street/strip project - my official return to FMJ!

Bringing this thread and project back from the dead. I finally got around to finishing the front suspension this weekend. Everything is new. I took the opportunity to upgrade to 11/16" tie rods. Just have to hook up the center link, throw the brakes back on, then she's done until I can torque...

4 speed manual brake manual steering Volare' Found

Cool! I don't need anything off the car, but I'd probably be interested in one of those manual brake plates when you make them.

'83 Mirada street/strip project - my official return to FMJ!

It's amazing, reading back through some of my previous posts, how much I've already learned while doing this project. I've done a lot of things I've never done before. The problem I was having removing the upper ball joints... no problem after I cleaned around them a lot more, soaked them a...

'83 Mirada street/strip project - my official return to FMJ!

Making progress again. New K is bolted in, wheelwells are painted and looking all pretty, and now I'm refurbing the whole front suspension. I'm over halfway done with that. Basic process has been: - Take everything apart and clean as much as possible, soaking in degreaser when necessary. -...

    Rear axle/suspension rebuild

This is why I'm just converting to the E body springs and associated parts! I guess that option wouldn't be for everyone, but it seems a whole lot easier to me in the long run! :)

    Volare drag car on CL

No one has ever heard of Van Dyne! LOL Believe me when I say I'm exaggerating about 100 people there, tops. It's pretty much just the houses on the main country road, then a couple short side streets. One little general store that basically just sells fish bait and beer! (Not that I'm...
