I've had people tell me not to get rid of that chrome clunker on the back of the car but I saw a NHSTA vid of a Mirada taking a concrete-rolling wall up the rear at 35mph; near bent the car in half. Put the rear wheels under the package tray!! That "bumper" will only save the car from just that.

Ma Mopar is somewhat famous for putting cars off the assembly line with unorthidox, some even unbelievable combos. Nothing new. It's been going on since the 70's. I've been experimenting with some small diameter chrome plastic tubing but so far no success
