I have one on my 65 Chevy truck
IF you can get the aluminum fan shroud for your radiator for an E fan they do work very well
the fan they ship with is complete garbage but the shroud is totally worth it.
I finally figured out the misfiring issue. It was essentially installation error.
I ended up remaking the bracket and switching to a generic threaded vr sensor. That made it better but the underlying issue was still there.
well it turns out that a microsquirt isn’t nearly as water resistant...
I hope not but if so you’d think it’d do it left too
since the last post I did some driving and logging. I’ve figured out how to make it act up on demand. When it does the crank position is losing sync. It’s something to do with the sensor and mounting. I’ve already gone over that part of the...
I’ve been driving and enjoying the car and up until this weekend it’s been trouble free.
but since the weekend the car has developed a strange issue I haven’t been able to diagnose yet.
it bogs down and even dies out but only when turning right and only then when you do so with a little...
I have one of these in my gambler van I scored for $10 at a yard sale and it would be a good solution for a bucket seat car. The keyed lock on the thing cracks me up though. Like putting a lock on a loaf of bread
I’ve had this for a couple years now that I picked up for my 65 Chevy truck that was just too big for it being a stick shift on the floor.
I automatically assumed it was way too big for a car but I tossed it in today and honestly it fits the Chrysler way way better than the Chevy. I might give...
Excellent point with respect to being secured. The floor hump console I mentioned above is zip tied to the carpet with one of those 24” long jobbers otherwise it would not stand a chance
What have you guys came up with to solve the lack of cup holders in these cars that doesn't involve changing seats.
I have a vintage rubber queen floor console that honestly leaves much to be desired
Pics welcome
I’ve been able to start putting miles on the car and by in large have the tuning dialed in. The idle algorithm could use a little more work and I still have the closed loop fueling to tune but she’s drivable and pulls good and runs 1000% smoother
I will have some before and after MPG data in...
The installation is essentially done. Well with the exception of doing something about the cheesiest air cleaner known to man. At some point I’ll try to find a 4bbl air cleaner assembly. I also have a little noise from something related to the CPS clicking or dragging on something. Honestly I’ll...
Good point.
anyway after piecing everything together and a bunch of false cranks while I fiddled with some tuner studio parameters I got the engine to start and run. Be it the crank trigger or the timing chain that wandering base timing is now gone. With the ignition timing locked in tuner...
Finally back to work on the car. I cannot complain though I spent the weekend on a gambler 500 beating on another mopar this time an 02 3500 van
I failed to account for part of the power steering bracket occupying the same space as the bracket and bolts for the CPS. No biggie I just...
