Best Fel-Pro Intake Gasket for Edelbrock Intake

FEL-PRO MS90109 ordered. As soon as life allows, I will tear it back down and reseal. Gonna throw a timing chain on this time around as well. thanks for all the responses and advice.

Best Fel-Pro Intake Gasket for Edelbrock Intake

That was my thinking as well, but was looking for more opinions…I think the composite will be the best bet here. Since all but one spark plug is clean, I’m gonna leave the heads alone for now and hope the intake reseal fixes that issue too. How possible is doing the valve seals without...

Best Fel-Pro Intake Gasket for Edelbrock Intake

Ok now I am looking at the FEL-PRO MS90009 (factory 2bbl applications) vs FEL-PRO MS90109. (factory 4bbl applications) MS90009 appears to be stamped steel MS90109 appears to be a composite material The difference being the 'small' vs 'large' ports. Does the port size that Fel-Pro is...

Best Fel-Pro Intake Gasket for Edelbrock Intake

Maybe a dumb question—but could a bad intake seal be also causing oil to leak INTERNALLY into the #7 cylinder? I’m getting a wet electrode on the plug—not external oil on the plug. The cylinder is firing Trying to decide if I’m gonna pull off the heads when I reseal the intake.

Best Fel-Pro Intake Gasket for Edelbrock Intake

Well…The Edlebrock intake is definitely aluminum and I do not recall removing the centering pins from the block…so this would definitely be part of the problem. So the intake absolutely needs removed and resealed. Fel pro MS90109 or other? Appreciate this observation. Just didn’t think...

Best Fel-Pro Intake Gasket for Edelbrock Intake

Definitely Leaking Oil and I am confident vacuum. Just not as smooth as it should be…especially at idle and low throttle. I am also getting one oily plug—rear most drivers side. The electrode is oily—I do not recall this being an issue prior to the intake swap—but I cannot say with...

    Diplomat Body Bushings

Hello- Was looking to confirm that B-Body bushings will work as the correct replacement bushings for a 1985 Diplomat. Was looking at replacing the original soft rubber with modern poly bushings—likely Energy Suspension. https://www.energysuspensionparts.com/5.4111#reviews Any other...

    Fusible Link Replacment

I was able to find the likely culprit—some melted insulation on a wire that I should have routed better. Upset with myself for being careless. Was able to replace the fusible link and we are running again. Only driven about 20 miles or so but all seems well. I did what I could to repair...

    Fusible Link Replacment

Hello: Unfortunately my drive the other evening ended with the Diplomat being towed the remaining 1.5 miles to the house. A blown fusible link caused the engine to die and a rather large backfire that managed to take out the entire muffler. The fusible link in question is on the left front...
