So now…what is the best method to remove the speedometer cable? It is not the old style with a hex fitting on the end. It’s it clipped or push in? I see that the speedo gear housing still has a retaining bolt…but what removes the cable? Thanks

I spoke with Dan at Brewers this AM. He was not hopeful that gear would be in stock anytime soon. I am hoping to find the original Chrysler part number to see if I can locate one. I was avoiding having to convert it.

Dan—you are 100% correct. Was working on it last weekend was was able to get new Kenwood 3.5s mounted, but they are very tight. Not only the magnet but also the speaker basket. I will update with pictures. I am working on wiring the mini amp and running all new speaker wire.

Thanks Mike- Ordered new 3.5s for the dash and 6x9s for the rear deck. Using a stock Chrysler CD/Cassette from a 2000 RAM Van and adding a small amp in the dash. Will update how all that works out....

Got it all back together and working. Didn’t realize at first that I needed to remove the wiper pivots. Once I did that it was straight forward. Used the Dorman bushings as they were available at my local AutoZone. Was able to use the vice to press some, and a squeeze clamp for others. All...
