Mostly deal with a bodies but just got a diplomat as a primary beater car and came over here to look at all the info on getting all the smog insanity deleted

I love the M body platform. Drove an 80 for years. There is a bunch of stuff you can delete if you don't have emissions to worry about.

get rid of the lean burn ignition is a good start. I believe there was an air pump and multiple cats too. If you want to stick with the 2 barrel see if someone on here still has a 76-77 Carter BBD in good shape laying around.

I have an 84 Dippy. Awesome, very reliable daily driver.

I essentially took my car back to being a 70's set up... LB delete Mopar electronic ignition, you want the Canadian no cat Y pipe (I had to have one made...they are pretty impossible to find now), yank the air pump, if equipped. There wasn't that much vacuum line nightmare as I recall. Really cleaned up the engine bay.

I kept the 2bbl on my 318...it's fine for a lo-po driver.

I already got a bbd laying around for it. The cats are on their way to the garbage as we speak. Already dumping way too much time in this junk

Trying to find a replacement y pipe. Probably gonna have to end up making it myself
