This car continues to be a kickass build!

Stupid and ignorant question: was the overall weight of the paint on the car a consideration when repainting it?

Like, would too much paint make it heavier and therefore slower? So maybe fewer coats of paint?

As you can tell, I don't know shit about race cars.

thank you.

i know nothing about paint to be honest. i went with single stage, followed what the painter recommended.

a few weeks ago i was at the Div. 6 race in Billings and talked to a couple super stock racers. he did tell me the cars paint is very thin to save weight.

i don't know if it makes any difference. i just bracket race so it doesn't really matter to me.
