I understand that but I'm building it anyway so I can put it in a rat rod bout the only thing worthy of it. And the most I will do is 8.25 rear end better shocks and most likely find a kmember that fits big block. Found a motor mounts for big block to slant but 159 plus shipping not bad but I just want to convert to awd another luxury it should have came with lol. I got the idea with a 84 Cutlass awd on Hoonigans
okay im a bit confused and i think you maybe as well.
first off,forget the awd thing,its been done and it ends up with the car sitting on a 4x4 chassis.
second,you should figure out which way you want to go,if you are gonna big block it then go big all the way big radiator big brakes swap and so forth.
im new to the m-bodies myself sorta,i never got much into the whole sideways suspension.
im learning a lot reading the topics and stickies pinned at the tops of the forums,
you should go read some of those.
however,i can tell you that a ford exploder rearend/8.8,
is near identical width and the leaf springs are withing a qtr inch of the factory mounts on our cars.
and,bonus,a lot of them were made with 3:73 gears with limited slips,
like the 2 ive gotten for free already from junkers.
just a thought for whatever you decide to build.
