If you change your mind and decide, or find an '69, B-body 8 3/4 they're a direct bolt in. On the other hand as far as the 8 1/4's go from 1966 - 1996 difys all have interchangable parts. Just so happens I believe I have 1, but it's a '74 B-body and that's almost 6" longer than what you want.
Maine? Your in Ma.? Why,,,,,,,,,? Just Why,,,,,,? Seriously though That's a very reasonable asking. I'd love to get it, but I just can't make the trip. As,,,,, much as I'd love to, as much as I love them. Thanks for sharing.

What year engine you trying to do this with? Is / Was this engine a " roller motor " to begin with? Thing about rollers that I was always told is that they spin up faster than old school slugs. But I agree you put slugs with slugs and rollers with rollers.
Got a buddy that bought the car back that I originally bought off him. He's surprised me by doing quite a bit of work on it. I first heard that he wanted to put a 9" ford under it. He doesn't have that much power in it now. He's wanting a lower gear. So I'm trying to help him find a good used...
Agreed same " Brake backing plates " 8 3/4 does have the same brake backing plates. With that being said and if you pay attention you can have disc brakes back there.
I whole hardly disagree. I ran many of these cars in demolition derbys and it isn't that hard . What's the major issue? cutting the driveshaft down to fit. The springs are almost a a perfect match outside the certering pin. Replace with O.E. 8 3/4 problem solved.
I,,,,,,,, wished I had " never " sent the 1 I had to the junkyard , bad car wreck. I,,,,,,,,,,,, " wished I could find / had another 1. Badly. Great thread . Keep it going!
Just throwing this out there ( doesn't mean anything ). A 10" brake shoe is a 10" brake shoe. Where your get a general differences will/should be in the width/thickness of your shoes because of the brake drum itself. That's where your differences will be or mean in the numbers. #2; could also...
Okay so we all know that the driver side/ Left side motor mount's different from the left. I tried Rock Auto a couple times and got the wrong 1 every time. I'm not into bushing or using washers to make it fit. So where do you guy & Gals go to get the correct motor mount?
Edit: I just had...
