Really good band, and for this song at least (they actually have a lot of great songs with good lyrics), really great lyrics. I think their debut album, although unrecognized by most, has to have been one of the best debut albums of all time. Great band, great lyrics, with great musicians...

Remote oil filter installs - who's got what???

A header setup can provide some horsepower gains over a manifold setup. How much is dependent on how restrictive the manifold set up is, some of which has to do with is the facotry a real dual exhaust all the way back, the design of the original exhaust manifolds, the design of the headers...

    would a 4bbl car post 1984 have a A904 or an A999?

I don't know if you were talkingabout the AHB only cars, but my 1980 Cordoba Crown has an A998 in it with its 318-4BBL. My 1981 Mirada CMX has an A999 along with its 318-4BBL. These are all factory original, the transmission codes on the fender tags show them, and I've been underneath and can...

"Don't Let Go" has to be one of the most beautiful duets that exists. Both Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush are outstanding on it. I'm a big fan of Kate Bush anyway, and have liked Peter Gabriel for a long time, so its great to hear them together.

"Steam" seems like a direct lead in to "Big Time". I really liked the earlier Peter Gabriel material, especially between his leaving Genesis and through to the "So" album. Personal favourite is "Shock the Monkey" when Gabriel was playing around with African/World beat type music. His videos are...

    Dodge Diplomat Turn Signal

A bad bulb would normally cause the right blinker to flash more rapidly than the left. Its either a wiring issue, a turn signal switch, or the flasher itself. I suppose in some odd cases, it could be the socket. I'm betting on the flasher, which is cheap and easy to fix.

    levers

That is a great video. I understood why it was wrong from the beginning, but it was an interesting walk through. The stuff at the end about impednace matching can be proven, even without the balls and the heavy math. All you need is some strings (low stiffness) of three different diameters. You...

Recommend a Battery Charger For Me

Getting a small two stroke engine to run properly is a skill, a very specialized skill. I don't know how to do it, and evidently, neither does the guy in the video. If it were tuned properly by a small engine mechanic, I have no doubt that it would start just fine, just like properly adjusted...

Body art isn't a thing for me, I much prefer the natural look. However, even with that, unless you are very close, body art just ends up looking like blobs of colour (in most cases, black blobs) with no details. You can see the details up close, but a couple of feet out or more, and it just...

    1982 Imperial on Hoovie's Garage

I don't know how "Super Rare" the Frank Sinatra edition is. There seems to be plenty of them around, along with some of the other designer editions. I think they were produced for a couple of years, with at least 1000 each year. Nice looking cars, but somewhat derivative of the Lincoln MK4/MK5...

FOR SALE 76 Aspen R/T factory 4 speed WIW

Kevin, this is going to be impossible for anybody to comment upon without many, and very detailed, pictures. There are just way too many variables, as in what is the state of the bodywork (read: rust, which these cars are prone to having), mechanical condition, some of the harder to find plastic...

So... I'm having a Merry Christmas.....

The basics of it is that ignition timing of the car is the relationship between the cam (which is what rotates the distributor) and where the spark is initiated relative to the position of the cam. Rotating the distributor changes that relationship (sooner or later in the cam's rotation). Having...

    Spark knock under mild acceleration

There is also the possibility that there is a lot of carbon build up in the combustion chamber (surefaces of the cylinder head and top of the pistons). This raises the effective combusion ratio, and the carbon build up also tends to retain heat a lot more than metal surfaces do. Both together...

youtuber Buff's Garage suffers through a Volare revive and drive

I don't know about what the cops are like in the US, but if you put something like that on the road in Canada, you wouldn't get down the road for more than about 10 kilometers before you were pulled over, and the car would either be put on the side of the road pending arrival of a tow/flat deck...

Recommend a Battery Charger For Me

That is the perfect one. Some have only 4 LEDs, and don't tell you much about the status of the battery charging. This one has the full 7/8 LEDs, and will light up in sequence to really show where things stand. This one also has the recondition mode, as well as the "motorcycle" or low capacity...

    Throttle Kickdown with Holley Sniper

I don't know how things work on Holley/Sniper fuel injection, but I helped a guy out with a FAST EFI on his 350 Chev/TH350 setup (in a 1954 Mercury). I helped set up the system, be he wasn't getting a proper kick down. I was looking on FAST's web site, and saw that they had an add-on bracket...

$350 for a freaking new key fob??????

Many newer cars don't even have a keyhole to put the key into. Dumb as a sack of rocks, but many cars have "keyless starting", which means a paired FOB must be in the vehicle, and then you push on a Start/Stop button. No keyed FOB means that the vehicle doesn't start. Some cars have hidden...

$350 for a freaking new key fob??????

Phone the certified automotive locksmith and see if they can pair the new FOB. If they say that they can for sure do it, buy TWO FOBs, and have them pair BOTH FOBs at the same time. Leave one FOB at home, use the existing FOBs, when one dies, or needs a battery, you can use the at home FOB...

    Fuel Filter at 2:32 am

I watch pretty much every episode of Project Farm, love his efforts at coming up with repeatable, solid tests.I believe he is running an honest show, and isn't biased in any way. The shows that I really like are the ones on wrenches (combination wrenches, gear wrenches, ratchet handles, etc.) He...

Those torque sticks are no where near as accurate as a good torque wrench. This assumes that the torque wrench is in calibration. which should be done every 2-4 years. There is no way to verify that a torque stick is accurate, and no way to calibrate it out, either. A calibrated torque wrench is...

    318 Aspen with magnum heads.

There are a number of videos on Youtube on how to make power with a 318, even from well known sources like Power Nation. Just have to do a search on Youtube. Also, Hot Rod Magazine did a 318 hop up video; article may still be on their web site. Those Magnum heads are a really good start (if they...
