I’m willing to buy the whole setup if you have the spring plates, I just figured someone out there could use the bars and I could save on pricey shipping of parts that I hope to never need.
Either way I’ll be happy to get a sway bar on my wagon.
Have a good weekend,
Logan
I'm Interested,
I've been looking for rear sway bar pieces for a while now for my 78 LeBaron Town&Country. I have the bar but the spring plates and frame mounting hardware have eluded me for quite some time. Please let me know if you have those plates and would be willing to sell me the hardware...
Thanks for the reply. You're right that the wagon quarters don't have the end caps and if you were trying to use 4 door quarters for a wagon you would be left with some tough pieces to fabricate. I think I'm going to get the Volare quarters and just cut out what I need which is the typical area...
The Rare Parts brand that Advance Auto Parts sells has torsion bar pivot bushings in rubber.
I’m not sure what car you’re working on but I put in a 1987 5th Ave. to search from and they came right up.
Part # RP18551
I forgot I didn’t open this bag so the picture of the actual pieces are probably not much used to you. This kit does not have end link pieces, it’s only for the bar to frame. The inside diameter of the large bushing measures approximately 1 3/32 of an inch. The outside dimension is about 2...
I recently did the front end swaybar bushings on my 78 town and country and I got them from Autozone. They had rubber and poly options. I ordered both and ended up installing the poly options because of information I read on this forum and they just seem to be better quality. Because I’m...
Hello my 78 LeBaron Town&Country is in need of rear quarters. I had body work and a paint job done two years ago but it's failing dramatically and becoming another thing that I wish I had done myself. I've recently come across someone parting out a 79 Volare wagon and although the parts don't...
My 1978 Chrysler LeBaron wagon has a lock up transmission that did not work for the first three years that I drove the car. While driving it one afternoon a horrible clunk and violent shuddering made me aware of its presence. I still haven’t done the necessary repairs to get it right. I do...
If you haven't replaced the bushings yet, take the extra 5 minutes to pull the wiper arms off and remove the whole mechanism. It's really so much easier and you can do a better job cleaning and greasing the system. The extra bonus is that you'll save a few bandaids and your hands won't ache for...
I’ve put a Holly 2300 on my 84 5th Ave. and my 87. It worked well on both cars and was always easy to tune. I always removed my AC units so I’m not sure about the solenoid but I would imagine Holly offers a kit.
Probably could be made to work.
On their installation instructions sheet, I'm sure the tools needed icons includes the usual adjustable wrench, screwdriver and goggles but also a mig welder, cut off saw and drill press icon:-)
My current hitch is bolted to the bottom of the bumper and has an unnerving amount of flex to it. I think that if I come up with a better way to attach it to the bumper it should, as you said, be more than fine. Thanks for weighing in.
106!
Holy shit!
Procrastinators club membership must be at record enrollment.
I'm going to pass on that hitch because it shows so much.
Thank you for posting the pictures.
I would definitely be interested in the hitch from the Aspen. I'm looking for a hitch that mounts above the bumper line so all but the ball mount receiver shows. If you got that I could probably come up with enough dough to jeopardize your procrastinators club ranking. Pictures would be great...
Anyone know where one can find a trailer hitch for a 78 Lebaron wagon. It's a F body.
I currently have one bolted to my bumper but it's not strong enough for anything but the lightest tows.
