    Well, they come in threes....

That's what it was called! I couldn't remember the brand name. I had picked up a set when I had my first Fifth around 2016. Never put them on and sold the car with all the spare parts I had. Worst mistake I ever made. I didn't think I'd end up missing it and buying another Fifth.

    Well, they come in threes....

How rare are those window shades on the Fifth? I think I've only ever seen one set pop up for sale.

    Lighting Questions Before I Spend

When I did my dash lights with LED I used superbrightleds.com. This was a couple years ago, but I was having a couple install issues and had questions. Called the customer support line. They were very helpful pointing me in the right direction.

    FOR SALE 7.25 axle

I got a 7.25 out of my '87 fifth. It's assembled with springs and everything. No brakes, but I have new brake parts to go with it if needed. I also have a pair of KYB shocks I can include, they about a year old. Needs new bushings. Was working fine when I pulled it to swap in a 8.25. I have no...

    8 1/4 upgrades

If I ever do take it to the track it'll remain on street tires. But I don't plan on ever tracking it enough to make paying for slicks worth it. I plan on keeping it a fun street car. But I drive all my cars hard.

    8 1/4 upgrades

The current brakes I got on the car are less than a year old, maybe 3,000 miles on them. So I'm going to transfer the brake parts from the 7.25 that I have for now. Eventually yes I want disc more than likely from the Liberty. Any issues I'll have putting a 29 spline carriers in the 8.25...

    8 1/4 upgrades

That's good to hear. I want around 400hp when I'm done with everything. Slow work in progress. So much back and forth I see between 8.25 and the b body 8 3/4.

    8 1/4 upgrades

It's from a '77 Aspen wagon. It's got 10" drums. I see in the aftermarket that there is not a huge price gap between 27 and 29 spline carriers. Rock Auto has a 29 spline Dana carrier for $450 if I remember correct. I would like to upgrade to 29 spline with a new aftermarket carrier. I plan on...

    8 1/4 upgrades

Just picked up a 8 1/4 out of a Aspen wagon for my Fifth Ave. It's an open diff, 2.94's in it. I plan on adding a locker and either 3.2x or 3.55's. I know stock is 27 splines? I see Detroit Locker makes a carrier for 29 splines. But I'm not sure where to find 29 spline axle shafts. Anyone know...

    WANTED Diplomat or Fury

Seeing what's out there, can't find much on Facebook or Craigslist around where I'm at. I have a Fifth that I love but I keep finding myself wanting to keep it original. Heck, I even regret changing the original stereo out. I've been wanting a Dodge or Fury for a more police car clone...

FOR SALE Not Mine fond on craiglist

I thought Craigslist started charging like $5 to post a car? I've been noticing more cars in the parts section, I imagine to get away from the fee.

That's what I'm thinking. Not necessarily flower print, but something different like that.

    5th Ave tops

Is it weird that it shows for 82-86? I though only the '89 year tops were different. But that's alot cheaper than I thought it would be. I wonder what the quality is like. After reading through the threads that were shared I might have a professional redo the top. I'm far from capable of doing...

    5th Ave tops

Question for the 5th Ave guys mostly. My leather top is trashed and I want to eventually replace it when I repaint the car. The previous owner did a hideous backyard paintjob with no clear coat. For the top though, has anyone used anything aside from leather again? Maybe vinyl or that thick...

    WANTED 8 1/4 axle

Hey all, I got a '87 fifth ave. Looking for an 8 1/4 rear axle for it. I'm in the Austin, TX area. I'd rather not ship, simply because I don't know where I'd have it delivered here. But I can make something happen if I have to. I plan on swapping in 3.23 ring and pinion and adding sure grip...

I wouldn't mind helping you clear out some unwanted clutter. I've had the worst luck sourcing an 8 1/4 ever since I got the car over a year ago. Closest I got was an A-body axle that was too narrow.

I think that was my real issue and concern from the start. Not which OD to go with but if I needed one at all. Like I said I ran 3.73s in a Chevy once with the stock 3spd and it was turning over 3,200 rpms on the highway. I'm convinced that's why the engine eventually detonated itself. I just...

So are there any other options out there? As I do more research and what I've learned here too, either option is expensive. Like I said I plan to upgrade the rear end, somewhere a around 3.55 ratio. Engine wise I haven't decided on a 5.9 magnum or building the current 318. Not going for a...

So is it a matter of fabricating a new crossmember and hammering the floor? Or does the tunnel need to be cut and made bigger?

The A518 doesn't look that at much bigger than the 727 aside from the tailshaft being bigger. Is that where floor modifications need to happen, further back the trans tunnel for the tailshaft?

Hey I paid $500 for the whole car. Title and insurance was almost more than what I paid for it. I had the trans rebuilt because it was shot. Then a carb rebuild with all new vacuum hoses. My wife loves the car almost more than I do. Definitely not getting rid of it. That's why I want to do...

Wish I could do the work myself so I can learn. But I doubt my apartment complex would be cool with me chopping up a car in the parking lot :) Trust me, I'd prefer to use a Mopar unit. Depending on costs to have the floor modified I would rather go that route. I was thinking of the gear...

    Gear Vendors Unit

-edit- You have to forgive me, I followed some of that but got lost on the gear splitting part. I know .69 ratio is way better than .78. I've had plenty of cars and old cars before but this is the first time hopping anything up beyond chopping the muffler off. I'm not too knowledgeable about...

Has anyone put a gear vendor overdrive is our cars? I have a '87 Fifth. Trying to plan what direction I want to go but whatever I choose I know I want some sort of overdrive. If anyone has done it, does any of the floor need cutting? I know the Chrysler 4spd's take some massaging and...
