Looking to upgrade to the 11" drum brake setup on my coupe, so literally need the hardware to make that happen:
- backing plates
- connecting & springs hardware
- drums (optional, only if NEW)
- shoes (optional, only if NEW)

Thanks!

The plus is the hardware kit and shoes are readily available and cheap. Actually right now on Rock Auto some of the 11" drums are actually cheaper too then the 10" from the same line and manufacturer. The backing plates are the hardest to get... i take that back. 11" truck is the same part number backing plate as our cars. Hmmm.. I think I might look at doing this upgrade myself!!

Thanks...but that asking price honestly seems steep given that the 11" hardware stuff is routinely available in eBag for like under $30...and that means the "big ticket" items are just the backing plates and the other hard parts.

Anyways, still good to know there are options.
The backing plates for 11x2.5 brakes don't come up often, and that seller is throwing in the hardware

Don't think you will but its a pretty typical size for trucks so that makes used ones a lot easier to find then solely relying on trying to find them off an AHB.

I don't see any mention of needing or having the emergency brake levers and spreader bars. I have a set I won't use if you need them, shoot me a PM to discuss.

Have you consider the complete ready to go setups listed on ebay?

I’ve got the 11” drums on my Volare and I love em. They work great for my style of bracket racing, I run hard to the stripe but will drop ET at the end. pulling the opponent into a breakout.
Yea I’m one of those guys. lol

Yup, I've started to look for them. This hasn't been a priority of mine, but recalling the last couple of outings to the Milan, MI dragstrip, and remember the brakes getting a bit soft after a few back-to-back runs...sooo....why not consider upgrading?

I seen the postings of the ones you passed up. Its odd in a way as I have some nice ones I was gonna put out for you to consider but then I looked at what some have sold for both high and low. But as hard as some things are getting to find or how much they would help complete another sale (like a whole axle) I did not.

Our parts hunting is an odd deal.

Have you considered just going to a rear disc setup for what the drum conversion seems like it might be when all said and done?
