OK I have a lot of questions about my car.

Does anyone know how many of these 78 roadrunners were made with the Tee tops and manual 3 speed W/ OD?

The fender tag is mostly decoded there are a whole bunch of codes that are not showing up though. but what does decode matches the car less the mirrors. tag says enamel but the car has chrome.

Also I bought a complete 1977 running aspen as a donor car from a board member.
car is in excellent shape and it's really going to be a shame to take a plasma cutter and torches to it but OH WELL.

So my questions are these:

What parts will NOT fit from the Aspen other then the grille, rear bumper, gas tank.
That way I know what to separate into the pile of "for sale"
I am keeping 100% of what is usable for my car but won't want to keep what is not.
I was going to sell the drive train but I'll hang onto that for a while too even though it's a 318 and floor auto with a 7 inch rear.

How many of the 78's were made like I posted above Anyone know I can't find that info either.

Any info is good.

Thanks
Rich

If you can get the fender tag codes (photo of the tag, a pencil rubbing, etc) I MAY be able to help decode it more.
You do mean the metal tag under the hood? Wondering because you mention a code for mirrors and that's not on the fender tag.

Picking nits here but it's a 4 speed O/D not 3 speed with O/D.

here ya go.
My intentions are to do this car up like greymouse and blackbird78 but not in that fast of a time frame since the one thing not on my side is time. I work 3 days a week in the medical feild and the other days self employed.

ETA: fender codex moved up to fender tag pic.

Might have misspoke on what's on the tag (like mirrors). Give me a little time, I have absolutely no idea what I did with my decode book. It has to be here somewhere, I hope!

All I got right now is probably what you've already decoded (engine, trans, plant, etc).

As we all know, what's on the fender tag and/or broadcast sheet isn't necessarily how the car ended up being built. Mistakes happen.

Off topic: My favorite was the F150 that had Custom trim one side and the other side had XLT Lariat trim or the Taurus with speed control switches on the steering wheel but didn't have speed control, etc, etc, etc. Was Ford dealer tech from 1986-2007.........

ETA:
The ones I found that you didn't mention were on a B body site. and some of the codes I don't have match 68 paint schemes. so I am lead to believe that fender tag codes were reused and redesignated over the years for different body styles.
The ones that matched though made sense since I was able to physically fine those options on my car.
like the fresh air and Tee top codes.

ETA: to update found tag codex

Here's what I have for the "N94"
LEAN BURN (Electronic Spark Advance). Used in conjunction with a catalytic converter exhaust system. Unleaded fuel is required. Not available with California Emission Controls.

Thanks guys.
I edited the posts and gave credit to the members who found what ones where what.
Also moved the codes up to the tag picture to make it easier to read, and not so cluttered.long with the missing ones on the bottom.

So when/if found members can be given credit for them.

i thought a57 a66 combo was aspen only??
I have no idea???
But if you know what a57 a66 are post them up please, I'll give ya credit for them.

If you look over on the other site I have a thread titled 78 beep beep and you'll see there is a member that posted a short history of the car.
He's also the member I bought the running 77 aspen from/. He looked at the car 20 years ago and again when it was for sale over the winter. He knows alot about it.
Fender tag is original to the car. evidence that supports that is:
All the matching numbers like paint, tee top, tranny, motor.

He said the dent was there 20 years ago. The paint/decal match the age to the rest of the car. Spare fender has been with the car since he looked at it 20 years ago so the dent is at least 21 years old.
And the screws on the tag don't appear to be messed with ( evident in the pic)
A57 A66 mean something to my car.
