How much of the front end has to come apart to pull the passenger side fender?

Is this a one hour job or a multi day job?

Considering pulling the passenger side front fender to chase a water leak....have to decide when to do this.

Looking at the top rail of the fender, seems like the fender is almost sealed to the structure from the factory?

On an '80 you'll have to unbolt the header panel. Unsure if complete removal is necessary. The hood hinge will need to be removed from the right side, so you'll need to support the hood on that side. Then it's bolts along the top, some in the front, one in the door jamb on the bottom and also there's a bolt in the rear of the wheelwell about 1/2 way between the door hinges. Also have to remove the radio antenna nut and drop it out. The cable doesn't come out.
Not totally familiar with an '80, but on '76-'79 you need to remove the bumper filler panel to avoid damage. Also the brace between the lower front part of the fender to the bumper bracket, one end needs to be disconnected. Piece of cake! lol

There's a sealer type stuff along the top flange that might stick but it'll let go without too much trouble. It's more for squeaks than actual sealing (I think).

Thanks! This helps quite a bit. We would probably just remove the hood altogether (we already have alignment holes drilled).

I guess the biggest worry is what we will run into....it seems like a relatively straightforward thing but who knows what is lurking...LOL

Hopefully the bolts come out for you and aren't rotted solid! Or is that more of a Wisconsin thing?
