I don't know how "Super Rare" the Frank Sinatra edition is. There seems to be plenty of them around, along with some of the other designer editions. I think they were produced for a couple of years, with at least 1000 each year. Nice looking cars, but somewhat derivative of the Lincoln MK4/MK5, at least in exterior appearance. Aside from the "V" shaped front grille, they are almost a dead ringer for the older Lincolns (athough the cut line coming down from the roofline through the rear fenders is a little different). Nice cars though. and I wouldn't mind getting one myself, but it would have to be a non-fuel injected one, as I wouldn't want to have to deal with that old fuel injection system and its impossible to get parts. The wheelbase on the Imperial I think is longer than the wheelbase of the Mirada/Cordoba.
I wrote the above before watching the video.
Only 270 of these sounds very, very low; maybe Hoovie was talking about only the 1981s? I think they came with a case full of Frank Sinatra's music on cassettes; and having that would probably increase the value considerably.
I really must question the logic of driving a car home that is in that bad a state. I know its probably cost prohibitive to get it towed, but waiting a day for Eurasian Bob to come back with a trailer, or even renting a vehicle and trailer to get the car back home seems more practical to me.
