Hey everyone,
Finally pulling the trigger on some new rubber for my '89 Daytona Shelby. I've been running the stock 205/55R16s forever and it's time for an upgrade.
I'm looking at going with 245/50 R16 - from what I've calculated, it should keep my speedo pretty close to accurate and not cause any rubbing issues. The car is going to be lowered about 1.5" on Eibach springs.
My questions:

Is anyone running 245/50 R16 on their Daytona/Shadow without issues?

I want something that handles decent but isn't crazy expensive since I'll be putting miles on them.
Thanks for any input!

Thanks, yeah thats what I was thinking. I was browsing through 245/50 options here at carid and my model didn't even come up as an option. thought it was just because it's old and rare, but I'm pretty sure now it's because the wheels are too wide.
But there is another problem... 235s seem to be quite rare, only a few options available at even higher price

I've been using this for size

Yeah you seem to have to be creative finding sizes. I've had pretty good luck using tire track for that but oddly only bought tires off there once. Every other time I've found places locally that matched the price or came close.
