Hmm, I have. Thats one of the reasons I run reverse manual valve bodies. I haven't done a trans swap in 20 years. Plenty of 727 remove, rebuild and installs.

The dust shields are different, but I don't use them either.

Here is a picture (refer to pic on left) from Mopar Muscle on part needed. I got this part from a member of another Mopar forum when I did my A999 to 727 swap.

And as mentioned, different yoke (27 spline for 727) and dust shield. Bolts will work but dust shield won't. You can find them cheap (that is if you are still working on this. This post is pretty old).
