76 Aspen disc brakes help.

Hi all. I am building a resto mod B body with 76 Aspen front disc brakes. my questions are; Did the Aspen have a proportioning valve?
Were there both vented and solid disc rotors?
Did the Aspen have dust shields.

They do use a proportioning valve, there are only vented rotors, and yes they had dusr sheilds from the factory.

Thanks, any idea's on who sells the valves and the shields cuz I cant find them.

The shields should be the same as earlier years. 73 up. they are being reproduced. new repop Mopar 1973 Dart,Cuda Challenger Charger Satellite disc brake shield

The brake proportioning valve came in a few different versions – but only two vesions (that I know of) for FMJ bodies.
Those with 10” and those with 11” rear drum brakes.

In general there are a few different B-body proportioning valves – mainly depending on what year car.

The differences that I do know about are:
4-wheel drum brakes.
The early 4-piston brake calipers (and with 10” and 11” drum brake versions).
The 11” pin type brake rotors (with 10” and 11” drum brake versions) – which I “suspect” are the same as both FMJ versions (but not confirmed).
The 11¾” disk brakes (with 10” and 11” drum brake versions).
So I count at least 7 different B-body brake proportioning valves.

The only Mopars that I know of that came with solid brake rotors were front wheel drive (or were made in last 15 years – which I have not kept up with).

If "stock appearing" isn't a concern, an alternative is one of the aftermarket adjustable valves.
