I was at a pull a part a mile or so from my house in Oklahoma City (took day off of work), looking for a headliner for my 5th Ave (see other threads . . . ) and a few other parts.
The only pre-2004 RWD car was this one. The first F-body I’ve seen for parts in many many years.
My first thought was to see if car could be purchased, but said I don’t have room for it (and not ready to live in it, either - for wife would be showing me the door).

I had a couple of those wagons over the years. Both teeners and A/C. At the time I thought they were tanks, but they hauled the kids around ok.Both Mac-Tac Woodies, too. I think they were around 11,000 pounds, empty. At least they felt it.

Is there anything on this car, worth picking up?

There are a few odds/ends I’m interested in, but wasn’t sure if anything here is a “commonly requested/needed” part?

This facility has a car turnover rate of about two weeks, so it’s now . . . or never.

Pictures are for 80 Lebaron Coupe.
The sides are the same, but top part appears to be different (in '79).
Just let me know by Tuesday evening.

I'd pinch the cluster if I were there. Gauges come in handy if they're nice. Clock if it's got one.....and those plastic snap on covers that go on the seatbelt buckles. If they let you have them for dirt people are always looking for those things. Just a thought.

My ‘77 Volare wagon came striped (plain Jane), except for a heated back glass. It feels (no measurements or scientific facts here) like a good 800-1,000 pounds lighter than my ’86 5th Ave (which came with just about all options available to it at the time).
The Volare will run circles around the 5th (both are “currently” stock 318-2 auto cars).

On the other hand, my ’97 extended cab Dodge ¾ ton diesel pickup (with the 8 food bed) weighs in at 8,800 pounds empty. Fill the 36 gallon tank, add my tool box and my behind in it and you easily have 9,300 pounds.
(The pickup lug nuts require more torque to tighten than most engines are able to generate).

Thumbs up.
I don't remember seeing a clock - but wasn't looking for one either. Someone got the radio, tearing the bezel in half doing so,

I am in need of a front bumper filler, but it looks like the ends are curled up. Please advise with close up pics, price, and shipping to 47620. Thanks.

I don't know about price(s) yet, but will find out - if still interested in after seeing pictures.

Those look about like what I have now. Thanks for checking.

That's always good.
Those damn screwdrivers are so hard to use I guess.

Well, to my astonishment, the ‘80 Aspen rear bumper looks identical to my ‘86 5th Ave. Even the bumper filler looks the same.
The bumper on my wagon should look like the one missing from David’s ‘79 Aspen.

Will the two interchange, I think so, but not sure about bumper filler portion.

I would not have thought of an M bumper on a F.

1980 Front and rear bumpers from a F are the same as the M.
I don't know about 79 though.
Some have bumper trim and some don't on a F
The fifths bumper filler curves in at the center where it says Chrysler,
not straight across like the F.

I have a nice fifth ave bumper filler if your needing one.
I have a complete 88 5th ave parts car.

I couldn’t believe my eyes. This car has (had) a pair of chrome remote bullet mirrors on it, that I was going to grab (not today, but in the future). I got there and this is what I saw:

They cut the wires and bent the door to get access to the mirror nuts - ruining the doors (and trim) in the process.
What a waste . . .

The D pillar interior trim pieces look good. The metal spare tire cover and other metal items in trunk look useable. The other interior trim pieces - not so great.

Pictures of D pillar trim came out too dark to view.

While I was there, looking for parts for my pickup, I found (and picked up for $9, plus tax) this Chrysler wheel.

It has a couple of curb rashes on it - but would make a great spare.
Now to find four more . . .

I hate when folks do that when pulling parts. When I was searching for the replacement header for my fifth, nearly every car had a crushed driver side header panel just above the lights.
Its where they stuck the crowbar to pry open the hood so they could get to the a/c compressor.
