So the time has come for the final restoration of my 84 Gran Fury Restoration. She served with the Nevada Highway Patrol and sold to 3 other owners before me. These are the before. It is actually getting restored to what my county used in the 80's. Although they bough Ex Texas DPS Dodge Diplomats. I figured that would take forever to find. So here we are. She's waiting for the body shop to come pick her up to get painted.

Pretty straight resto all factory parts, but just different color than factory color. Will be white instead of the Silver over blue it came from factory with.

i guess white is good for the heat out there and cheap. can't help but think how good one of these would look in a modern sparkly dark blue though.

True. The spotlights are not original, but correct.

I've been lucky with the car. And I have treated her very well. Even added factory power antenna, cruise control Factory speakers. Going to add factory power amp.

Would love to find police cage. Would really love to find power window regulators and power windows/ door lock body harness. To add that as well.

They have starting sanding and priming the car

So the AHB is in the body shop got a couple of pics the other day. Hoping to have it back within a couple weeks. Looking good too! Interior panels all cleaned up and ready. Had to do some repair work to the door arm rest attaching tabs. Its not pretty but should do the job. All 4 of them needed to be done. I do believe that all the parts are about ready, just waiting on the car now! Ill post more pictures once the car is back.

Thanks! That's a good looking ride! I'm now in the process of cleaning and shining up the Windshield and drip rail trim. Trying the Everbrite product. See if it holds. Just applied it will look in the morning. Hoping it keeps its shine.

Anyone ever have an issue with the windows, in my case driver side. Where when you roll the window down, it tips forward. But tips back when you roll it up. I tried a while back to fix it, but before i tried again figured I would ask.

Um. I've only had that issue on power window AHB's and the bushings in the motor around the gear needed replacement.

So the main restoration is complete. I know its not perfect but id say it is pretty good. I will say there was a lot of blood sweat and tears. But this car is AWESOME!

The next step is emergency equipment and graphics. Soon!

The final step is pulling engine and rebuilding. but that is much later.
