I'm getting ready to pull the 76 Aspen and the 87 5th ave in the garage and start swapping parts to make the 5th ave a 4 speed. I have a good idea about what I need for the swap but I'm open to suggestions. The carpet is a question for sure. The Aspen carpet is in great condition but I'm worried the stretched wheel base means the carpet won't fit. Any other concerns/recommendations are welcome. I'm planning to order an a833 rebuild kit and throwout bearing from Brewer's performance. I'd love to swap the steering column to keep the manual transmission feel but if it's not feasible then I won't try it. Also the reverse light on the dash is pretty nice on the Aspen.
