On my 1980 Mirada I just got I am going to install a 440 since I have about 7 of them lying around plus lots of extra big block parts. A question I have is with this big block A body oil pan that is now being reproduced part number 2863892 would it be a good oil pan to use for the big block swap? I already have several of the C/B body oil pans lying around that I could use but this A body oil pan looks to have around a 6 qt capacity and has some baffles in it. I will be using Shumacher type mounts or will cut the spool frame mounts and move them back in the frame to position the engine farther back than if I just used a 73 on up big block motor mounts by themselves. The oil pan almost looks like a modified version of the 70 and up 440hp/440 6, Hemi oil pan. Looking at starting to order parts since who knows how long some of these parts will be reproduced?
