A/C PORT LOCATION

Have a 1979 aspen 360. Where is the A/C port ?

If you mean the air conditioning compressor/system service ports, the 1979 Aspen 318 and 360 engines was still originally equipped with the RV2 compressor/system at the beginning of the year and switched to the C-171 compressor/system later in 1979.

The ports for the RV-2 compressor/system are shown in the following image, showing with gauge hose ends attached:

1979 was the first year for the C-171 compressor. This compressor replaced the RV-2 and was used on six cylinder F-bodies and M-bodies, and all R-bodies initially, and on all car lines and engines later in 1979, except L-body which used Sankyo.

The C-171 ports are shown in the following image, showing with gauge hose ends attached:

I put an NOS replacement high-side / discharge hose on my '79 Aspen Wagon. The replacement high side requires a smaller adapter for the service port as compared to the factory-issued R-12 Parts. This is solved by the use of an appropriate adapter to the regular R-12 Gauge set and hoses. FYI.
