"Anything else that looks half as tough is going to blow the Super Coupe into the weeds". Really? The big bad Camaro Z28 (350/auto) shows a stock 1/4 mile time of 17.4 seconds, which is SLOWER than the SC's 17.0 yet the Camaro weighs 300 lbs less so,who's going to blow who into the weeds?

My 5,000 mile old 78 Z28 4 speed ran 15.7 stock all day long. I raced it many weekends. I put a test tube and a moroso air cleaner on it and ran 14.7. Just being honest.

I still say a Mopar will beat a Chevy any day of the week, not that I'm biased or anything

Trust me I`m a mopar man as much as anybody but it was the truth. I think the auto trans Z28 cars of that year were around the 16 second range as a friend had one.

A friend of mine, about 30 years ago, said "If I was crawling through the desert and dying of thirst and I came upon a Chevy with a full gas tank and the keys in the ignition, I'd keep crawling". Now he was a Mopar man! lol
