After I got the car back from the shop I can’t seem to locate where this hose went! I know I replaced it… it is the big hose from the canister…

If you have a Carter BBD or Holley 2280/6280 it will go here (red or white arrows):
Non-computer controlled.
Computer controlled.
If you have a 1-bbl, it will still be noticeable, but might look different.
The Red arrow sucks the fuel vapors from charcoal canister under certain conditions.
The White arrow allows fuel vapors to go to charcoal canister to be held (until engine asks for it).
That system will not work properly if hoses are reversed.
One will not notice anything different if the white hose is disconnected. Car will run bad if red hose is disconnected.
