Caravan wheels, will they fit?

I am seeing an ad locally that has some caravan wheels with good tires for free.. I am unsure about offset and they're related, but I believe I have read that the caravan spare tire will work as a space saver spare.

Wanting confirmation that the wheels will fit without having to dismount the tires..
 
Can't help you. You didn't say what year Caravan and there are 3 different bolt patterns across the entire 30+ year run of Caravans.
 
87-90, no (smaller hub bore and bolt circle)
91-95 yes for V-6 models only
96-00 yes, AWD only
01-07 yes
08-up no (5" bolt circle)

Problem is, they have positive offset wheels and the backspacing is all negative. Would they clear? Maybe, but they would look all wrong.
The mini spare from certain years works for temporary, but it also has a very narrow rim with no clearance issues with suspension.
 
Ok, so an 01-07 minivan mini-spare wheel will work for a spare, but none of them are a good idea for a daily driver...

It's like a 6.5" wide wheel, with 5.5" backspacing. With positive offset of the wheel center, the outer sidewall of the tire would be basically lined up with the center of the hub.

This may be a dumb question but I am going to ask anyway for clarity and potential learning: is this a description of the factory FMJ body wheels (aside from the cop cars)? So if i dismount a tire and study this, I should be able to spot what might work at a salvage yard. . .
 
No, that was a description of the Caravan wheels, in general terms.

Most any FWD vehicle uses positive offset wheels. That refers to the center disc of the wheel. Basically it means the mounting flange surface is outside of where the center meets the outer rim. Kind of hard to explain without pictures, sorry! Keep in mind, wheel offset and wheel backspacing are two different things.

Also the visual aid is helpful and I can now see in my mind's eye how the FWD cars have more positive offset.
 
The 91-95 V6 extended Wheelbase used a 5 by 4 1/2 bolt pattern. The center cap for the wheel is a nice cheap common fit for other mopar wheels. ives a different effect, for sure. It utilizes the 3 screw hole mounts from the back

I like the look, simple, clean, affordable...

Thanks for that recommendation! I am not seeing any V6 vs. 4 cyl options on car-part.. but if I can confirm that, I will get some!
