Badasspen nice car! Love the tire combo, you gotta tell me what size tire you are running. Do you have any pics from the back. I planning on changing tires on mine. Thanks

1980 Volare

I love seeing all of these old Volares! I haven't tried to get my wife on the hood of it yest, but I know she'd do it in a heartbeat if I asked her. Wel'll see what the summer brings.

Got this bad boy in January of this year for $1200. All in all, with a starter, tune-up, fluid change, tires, stereo (mostly recycled), new front brakes and rotors, and wiper motor, I'm in it for about $2100 including purchase price. It's my daily driver and he purrs like a jungle cat! Meet Murphy:

What a steal of a deal, that is one sweet wagon. How did Murphy, that jungle cat, get its name?

Well, the name Murphy is nothing profound. I pulled him up in the driveway after buying it, and my wife asked me what I was going to call it. I looked at it for about 20 seconds and the name just came to me. He toootally looks like a Murphy to me.

As for the jungle cat, well, after I did the valve lash job (first one I think), he just purred, especially on the highway.

I couldn't be happier for a daily driver.

Dang way to many fine looking cars... Mine isn't nearly as good looking as most, and really wish to find some different wheels, I like the look of the Magnums, But the Aluminum Slots look good on these cars as well. But if they were fifty cents for a set I would hafta just say "what a bargain" . Am new to site, but here is another F:

This stance was reached by adjustment of torsion bars, which has been un-done sense.

Cool car, glad you saved it. That really is a steal of a deal since you got it for free.

Go to slantsix.org. Those slants can really rip with a little time and work. Nice save by the way! :notworthy:
