As some of you may know I've been plugging Mopar Action to give us some ink on our cars (F, M and J's)....

http://www.forfmjbodiesonly.com/classicmopar/showthread.php?3615-My-Letter-To-Mopar-Action

One idea I've bounced off them is doing an article on those die-hard Mopars that are still out there doing their daily duties. I told Mr Gromer I'd try to put something together.

So....post your die-hard daily here with a little write up on her.
How you got it, what you've done to it, how many miles are on it, engine, etc....

I'll compile them up and send off a package so to speak and who knows....they just might do it....worth a shot. :eusa_clap:

There's one....

One thing I would note is my cars story was laid out pretty well. I even left out the crappy details about my marriage and just focused on the car. even listed all the major issues that had to be solved in the short time before I had to move....no response from Mr. Gromer.

People are ready to love these cars they just dont know about them. what I get when I run into folks that want to talk about the car is. either their daddy or some one they knew had a Volare....they all say...."but theirs didnt look like that!" I am guessing this is because hardly no one knows about the 2door coupes.

The main question I get is. "Why does it have Roadrunner decals if its a Volare" even I would have asked that before I met john and he showed me these cars. I had never heard of a Mirada or a Caravelle untill I got on this site. These cars seem to be a mystery to even well educated mopar scholars. Its going to take alot of pressure to get them to print FMJ ...just sayin

This whole idea is a long shot.
I personally doubt it'll fly or that enough people will even post their cars. Fair enough....I'm just trying to raise awareness about our cars....I certainly can't do it myself though.

So I'm gonna leave it at this.
You know the publications to hit and you know they're always looking for something to print.
I'll be sending my cars....what you folks do is up to you...

It was pretty disappointing when he never emailed me back.

I'm not so convinced that we are the ugly step children because almost every time I go out in the Volare people want a museum tour.

Regular folks really like all of my cars.
Even the Fifth is a head turner...but it seems the powers that be running the publications still see us as a non issue.

I like the Luxury police car its cool. If I saw that go down the road it would catch my eye, same with the Caravelle. I tell you what and this is the truth...

I like my Volare WAY better than my barracuda...there I said it and I mean it

a few pics of my volare as bought. bad body work left side behind door.4th pic 1 year old, running 77 aspen grill in 79 volare. ford ranger 15 in alum wheels. no new pics. short history.. bought in 2009 for a grand. had a 225 super six with a cracked block on outside but was welded good. one day it went up in smoke so swapped a 1983 slant 1 bbl carbed hyd cam engine changed to a carter 2bbl. home made rear quarters from below marker lights and homemade inner rockers..changed interior from blue cloth and vinyl seats to white bucket and white armrests with blue door panels. installed 1985 chrysler 5th ave dash front and top -repainted to match. bought my car when 1st grandson was 1 year old with the idea of giving him the car when he is 20. that was 6 yrs ago. hope she gets done by then ;)

Well, I won't post a pic of my daily driver (it's a '96 Dakota, wrong forum) but,,,,,,the only mag that seems to give a rats behind about "our" cars is Mopar Collectors Guide Magazine. Over the years I've seen a few F/M/J either as a feature or a "Cars in Yards" subject, etc.....

Might be worth knocking on their door.
