I'm 95% sure the same knob fits from '62 through at least 1989 for all cars and trucks (minus E-body of course), and through 1996 for Dakota.

That's what I figured, but because of some weird quirks with these cars I wanted to make sure

Well shit. I ordered a stainless set. Guess I'll put them right in the garbage. By the time I get them resold it won't be worth my time

Well at least you get to test fit now and if they are different see if they'll easily cross thread on anyway!

Yeah I'll test them first. I'm half wondering if they are wildly different, then maybe I can drill and tap them for the larger size. But since they're stainless.... that's not gonna be fun.

100% can't cross thread them on. That's just not an option

I know for a fact they don`t interchange. I had bought the 3419209 to put on my 77 volare and they didn`t fit. I bought the 4049609 and they fit. Now that is on a volare so maybe the other car lines use a different knob I don`t know. The 3419209 started to thread on but stopped after a few turns

And you are 100% correct, they do not interchange! Garbage!
