As the title says: not mine, but I spotted this otherwise nice looking Carter TQ 9800 series carb (so that is the rascal which has the electric choke attached to the carb body => yey, freedom to go to whatever intake manifold combo you could possibly imagine).

...$75 is the starting price, all things considered that's not a bad price.

BTW - as best as I can tell that's a 9800S carb, non-EGR, GM throttle linkage setup (which can be adopted to the Chrysler setup, or simply ran with a Lokar style cable)

I was considering it the second time around but got busy and missed it. I thought it was a good price.

I still have those add on electric chokes I'm curious to try sometime.

Metering rods/Hangers and all related hardware.
Bowl Vent. Accelerator pump and pieces. Some other
stuff as well.

I have sold much nice for less (I still own over a 100)
than it brought.

DAMN!!!

So that eBag link I originally posted was in fact pointing to the 9800S carb...heck, even the pop-up icon on my post shows that carb...

HOWEVER

...seeing GTX's remarks I went back to it and lo'and'behold, that link does in fact now take you to a pretty decrepit TQ carb!!!

No argument there...and I can't explain why this is what we see today.

eBay is redirecting from the original base link. It's more of their nonsense trying to push stuff on people that it is not wanted or expected, much in the manner of how they have ruined their search tools, etc. They previously advised of the redirect and suggested the directed item as an alternative when they did this. Now, they are just dumping you on what they want you to see without any notice.

Using the following extended link you can see the original completed posting:

Link to the vanishing 9800

When the page opens click on "See original listing".

It does appear that it was a 9800 Super-Quad.

I guess it was cached but I was seeing the original listing until I reloaded the page. Then I saw the junk one GTX John was probably seeing with no option to see the original.

The other thing ebay is doing is being more vague with their search results.. look for a chrysler part and you get some listings then some for complete different makes and parts.. like what facebook does.
