F BODY 6/8 TORSION BARS

Is there a difference btwn /6 and V8 torsion post 1978? Thought that Chrysler when with V8 torsion bars to save money.

Nope, one bar to rule them all. Traverse cars only ever got the 140# rate bar. That's why when FF released their bars years ago I jumped on it. To my knowledge Firm Feel is the only outfit to have ever produced aftermarkets traverse torsion bars.

Pretty sure they standardized on the heavier V8 bars around '76-'78 for all F-bodies regardless of engine to cut production costs.
