Late to the party (again...sigh), but I've got this box of (as best as I can tell COMPLETE) door power window strip-down off of a '82 New Yorker (Canadian M-body).
Take a look at the pics...I held onto this b/c it all looked to be in good shape, the stuff was working (but that's like at least 15 yrs ago, so memory is a little foggy lol).
Anyways...shipping costs get this box to your door sir!

Yeah I believe EPA restrictions to be the cause or at least partial. Right now I have a NOS gear in it so we'll see. It's so warm out there's been no reason to run the window up and down plus as I wrote before, I'm afraid to lol.
The plastic gear is the same on Left to Right.
The Motor portion of the window motor is also the same.
What is different is the gear housing (or direction it is clocked).
On FMJ's, Left and Right side motors are same front or rear.
Some other car lines (can not remember which), the rear window motors can be reversed (ie: Left Front is same as Right Rear and vice versa).
The key to making the replacement plastic gears survive is to make sure you pack the gear and surrounding area with (a good quality wheel bearing) grease. The more grease, the better.
Also, check the metal gear for sharpness. if you feel something sharp, take a file and make the sharpness disappear.
When cleaning, get all traces of old grease, old plastic and metal (if applicable) out before reassembly.
Note: The 3 round plastic plugs are designed to come apart, on purpose.

Thanks Bud. I have learned that the housing is definitely different. I don't think one could mount a motor in which the housing was for the other side of car, right? One thing of done every time is to clean out the gear housing. I spray it thoroughly with brake kleen and make sure there are no remaining plastic pieces and have even used a tooth pick to get any pieces out from the worm gear. I then repack.
Maybe the fact that the motor is the same but not the gear housing would explain some of the confusion I had with part numbers showing "left,right". The pics included the gear housing though, adding to my confusion.

So the box of window motors is finally heading down LSM360's way, in the meantime, if anyone needs any of the remaining parts (wiring or the switches) let me know please: "free to a good home", LOL, shipping is your cost!
...else I'm going to just toss these out, and I absolutely hate the thought of doing so...alas, there is only so much room my humble abode (man cave) has for storage.
Wow, I would take it, but shipping to Germany is kind of prohibitive. Not to think about *maybe* Russian steel in it. If no proof to the contrary, it would be destroyed right at customs. Bad.
How much is shipping to the lower 49? I might have an option in Florida....

OK, so I'm heading to Poland (Gdansk and then Krakow) on Aug-20th...this little assortment of parts is just a "little bag" of stuff...so I honestly do not see this as being a massive undertaking (as in: you can pick it up if it's worth your time, or I ship it out of Poland)! (but hey, I need you to make me aware of whatever EU requirements I must comply with, else the whole family gets turned around...and well, that would be bad)
Now, having said that, PM me your address and I can price this out for you. Hard to decide a "yey" or "nay" unless and until you know the shipping costs.
