anybody know what the pump out put pressure is for a 81 Imp with factory efi , i need that info for parts guy so i can get a regulator to drop it down for carb use tks
so the EFI pump is only 11.5 pressure?7.5 to 11.5 PSI.
Non injected '81 V8 is 5.8 to 7.3 PSI.
11.5 PSI is too much for a carb, without a regulator.

tks but i need to know what the EFI pump is putting outFor a carb, regulate it down to 6psi
OK fuel injection pressure 11.5 seems lowBud did post that, and if you are buying and installing a regulator, what I posted may be of value, if not, disregard one or more of these posts. Sorry to waste your time
The old CFI and TBI fuel injection was low pressure. Usually in the 11-14 psi range. They used low pressure pumps. Biggest reason they didn't work all that good. The low pressure and long injector duration didn't atomize the fuel very good. The fuel pump max pressure was maybe 20 psi. About the only way to know what unregulated pump pressure actually is, is to dead head the pump with a pressure gauge installed. I worked on those systems in the '80's and early '90's, and they were nothing
I amI thought he was converting to 2 barrel and using a regulator?
this all started when i went to buy a regulator, parts guy wanted to know pump out put some reg s dont handle hi pressure to 4psi. i am trying to get all parts needed before i disable car in driveway. iam haveing major surgery soon so iam trying to get this car movable before that tks to all for the help , your a great bunch of guys but most mopar guys areI was just attempting to answer the original question about the tbi fuel pump pressure.
