Thanks a mil for the parts help doc. That Caravelle ain't mine but it's pretty much identical except I ditched the parking lot dummy trim along the side and went with dog dish caps and gold rims (matching). That car was in Toronto? When? AND thanks bremer. I'll try the pic thing again.

I'll keep working on it. I'm not on photobucket so I have to figure out another way. Tried "upload from computer" thing but it just says uploading file for about three days and doesn't really do it.

Dang, I was for SURE that was yours. Must have been 08/09. Sold for $1200 I believe. It was in Toronto.
That was the pic in the ad

There was a nice 79 Caravelle in Windsor that the price kept dropping. Was $3000, now $1800, but now the ad is gone.
Then you could have had this white one for $3500

Sweet! Love my Caravelle's. Nice to see other ones. The one in the ad is "scary" close to mine. I even had those same caps till I switched them over.

Could the previous owner got it from Kijiji? Can't see too many /6 78 2dr brown/copper Caravelles running around in the GTA.

I know. Very rare but nope. The old timer was the 5th owner. He bought it in2001 in Dunsford, Ontario.

Okay. So far the best I've been able to do is put a picture of the mighty Caravelle on my profile page. At least you can see the damn thing.

A fascinating little story. Once upon a time I bought an '89 chevy caprice for $500. It was a rustbucket piece of crap BUT it did have a 305 small block and almost headers (the exhaust didn't really exist anymore). I painted it flat black with a roller and a gallon of Tremclad. I put a skull on it as a hood ornament. No caps, gloss black rims, chrome nuts. It looked sick and let me tell ya, I put the fear of God into many an Audi and Hyundai driver with that car. Being a typical GM the tranny blew and I scrapped it. (drove it for a year and still got $300 bucks for it). Flash forward to now. On Saturday I'm buying a one owner '79 Diplomat 4 door with a 318 82,000 original km. not miles. Body seems mint. 318' s never really die so that's a no brainer. Needs plugs, wires, rotor, cap, shocks and tires. After that....now where's that roller? Still have the skull.

LOL! I know. I just figured it would be a laugh to make one. As far as I know the only A12 was a Super Bee. There'd be a lot of head scratching at the car shows.
