Headers + Quiet Mufflers = OK for daily driver?

Sounds like I'm going to try some Magnum manifolds and see where that takes me. Thanks guys.

My 1986 Fifth Ave.

This guy over at Dippy.org did the Magnum swap and says the exhaust manifold on the driver's side won't clear. Never attempted the swap myself though.

The pickup/van/Dakota/Durango Magnum manifolds will not fit – not without major modifications.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Magnum manifolds “should” fit (but not yet tried – so IDK).

Within the last couple of weeks, I made a post with pictures of the manifolds.
Just perform a search with my name (BudW) and jeep Magnum to find that post.

I saw that. That's what I was going to go by.

I do have a Left side ’94 Jeep exhaust manifold (casting number 53009477) in my garage – if you want more detailed pictures of it.

Yeah that would be great. Especially if you can take pics with a yardstick or something, so I can get a sense of measurements.

Thank you!

For your needs, I wouldn't consider headers. Id stick with a stock motor and manifolds. Duals sound good when the exhaust needs replaced. Add a cross over if you wish. 2" duals should flow plenty and be less/least expensive with the exception of a single with a dual outlet for the look. Flow through mufflers will bark when you stand on it, but still allow you to hit the drive thru, and keep the cops and your neighbors happy.
