Anyone happen to have some headlight retaining rings? mine cracked and broke at the bottom. i tried fixing it before, but that didn't last long. I'd like to know what possessed chrysler to make them out of plastic?
Anyways let me know if you have some or know of some on the internet.
Thanks.

Plastic????
You mean the adjusters or the ring itself?
Mine are aluminum.
I might have a spare if you need it.

You can get the adjusters from the Dorman help section of any auto parts store

mine are metal as well,,it must be the adjusters hes talkin about, but im in a f body

Do you mean these?

Nope. But I just replaced those. Since they broke as well. It's the ring that holds the headlight in the bucket. I'll send a pic when I get home.

Hmmmm.....
Like I said. Mine are aluminum.
Yes post a pic. If they're the same I might have a spare or two.

I'm thinking the Cordoba headlight is the same an 80 Volare.
Looks to be the same one to me.

The retainer on the Volare is aluminum.
Downside is no chrome finish but if it's the same bulb it would work and not be plastic.

It's years since I replaced the plastic ones on my Cordoba, but they were cracked also. The rim is fairly wide, and fills the gap between the headlight and bezel. Maybe the Volare ones would work, at least until the proper ones could be found. And I thought the cracked plastic bumpers were the only issue!

thanks for realizing I wasn't dead even though I got run over twice, hit by a rifle butt, nearly drowned in the toilet (don't ask), had both my elbows rebuilt after arm wrestling, and survived more than 5 years of marriage.
