Hood Ornament Anti Theft

I always wanted to figure out how to hook my hood ornaments up to a car battery and have it so said would be thief completes the path.

That would be even easier, no moving parts. It would take a high voltage capacitor, one end connected to the hood ornament (hood ornament would need to be well insulated from the car body), the other end to the body of the car. Touch the ornament, and any place of the body of the car, and ZAP. Could also rig up something with an ignition coil in much the same way, but could end up killing somebody with that; the capacitor would hurt, but shouldn't kill anybody (depending on the size of the capacitor).

I'd like one of these like they have in other free countries.
I'd like it to work when you popped the door handle.

Or how about the Lotus Esprit in the James Bond movie, where the bad guy hits the car window with the butt of a rifle, and the car blows up?



Repairs will be necessary, but it does get the point across quite emphatically.

If I were in charge, I'd have some flame thrower cars as 'bait' cars.
I would think at some point 'people' wouldn't be touching other people's stuff.
