Morning everyone,
I rarely post but read all the discussions on here. This site has been very helpful with my sons 77 Volare coupe.
Anyway, he picked up an 80 Volare Duster. Slant with an auto. We are going through it to put on the road, brakes tires etc. We have an issue with the horn button. Under the button theres a ring with 3 mount points thats broken. Im not sure if its complete either. Horn doesnt work. Does anyone have a diagram of the assembly?
I found that OER parts has a horn ring and that 3 post ring thing but lists it for a tuff wheel. Is this the correct assembly?
Thanks
Jeff

There were three different three-spoke steering wheels used for '80 FMJ's (and a few different two-spoke wheels):

The base model wheel

This one is my favorite wheel:

This is the third option (for 1980), Tuff:

I wasn't sure which wheel type you have - so I included pictures/part numbers for all three 1980 versions (with three-spoke wheels).
The top and bottom horn switches are the same part number.

If you have the top or bottom versions, You can remove the horn switch and take a sheet of fine sandpaper and can (lightly) clean the contacts (in most cases).
If you take the horn button wire (shown in above pictures) and ground it againt the large nut, it should make the horn go off. If it doesn't, then you might have a blown fuse, bad horn relay, bad horn or a fault in wiring harness.

Let us know what you find.
Pictures are always a plus.
