My incredibly stupid smartphone needs to suffer an ugly demise.
I have to wait till I get a new one
But man, this thing's got it comin'.
Locks up, half way through typing something, it goes "Ack!" freezes, dies and you lose everything.

I'm thinking about just driving over it about 627 times but...
Ideas are welcome.

Already thought of a vice gradually tightened over a case of beer.
 
I hope you make it suffer by telling it what is going to happe to it. You could drop from a bridge over water and drown it. How about tieing to your car, drive into a puddle of gas and light the damn thing up. It could be done in flames. Or give it to a charity that you don't like to make someone else life misrable. Any way have fun

VOLTAGE........ Hit it with some HI VOLTAGE.............. I'm thinking welder / generator type voltage if you can get some higher stuff go for it.

I like the voltage idea and yes...
I want this phone to suffer.
I still REALLY like the blender idea.
Would make for an ugly demise and a great video.

Transformer for the ignition of an oil-burner furnace(10,000v) or one from neon lights (upto 15,000v) would create a Jacobs ladder and will arc thru the phone melting it.
