A couple of suggestions.
Make sure the dash pad is off.
You may have to loosen the lock screw on the gearshift pointer.
Also.. There are u clips on the top and sides.
And you may have to lower the steering column.

If I can figure out how to scan and post my diagram I will.
Hope that helps.

Doc to the rescue.

Thanks, but not a help.

My cluster is assembled not with screws (removeable from the front) but "Push Pins" that splay out at the rear. One would have to have the cluster out, on a bench, to remove said pins.

ANYONE ELSE? The FSM doesn't seem to help.

You will have to diconnect that from the steering column and also the speedo cable. You will have to lay on your back and reach up behind the cluster to get the cable off.

I got the cluster out, PITA.

I am trying to fix a PRDN21 indicator, stuck in P.

There is a fishing line like cable that is broken. It pulls the shift indicator needle, to the right, as you shift out of park. I can not find the other end of the cable or where it attaches, on the steering colum gearshift.

Of course, the part is discontinued, at Chrysler.

SO, I need to know where it attaches to try and repair it!

ANYONE?

I'd say that there's probably a tab it connects to in the steering column itself. Not sure about the length of it, but Ford uses something similar in the Explorer/Ranger. Might be able to score one at you're local junkyard for pennies and see if you can make it work on your car.
