CM360,
Are you referring to one of the items in the two pictures below?
If so, which part (or all)?

There is a pair of them on a ’88 5th Ave at a Pull-a-Part not far from me. I don’t know price yet and it is possible they might have some white paint overspray on them (car was painted and overspray is everywhere),
I will be going back there early next week and can grab them if you want.

If I was to guess, I would guess $15 (US) or less for them - but my guesses haven’t been very accurate.

Found this out a while back, but if your car had a factory sway bar, the shackle is wider at the top than the bottom.

Deconstuctor Jim has nice rust free items.

pretty much the same part from 76-88, F and M.
exception being the ones for swaybar cars but only the shackle is different.(EDIT...nope, it is different..see picture in post below)

I have some excellent used hangers, front or rear, and shackles in stock.

Now, I can use the standard ones on my sway bar car if I go with poly bushings, correct? The poly will do the same thing the wider shackle would do, right?

I cant see why it would be a problem to use them, not like theres some kind of interference with the bar.
Heres the two side by side...correction to my earlier post...bracket is different as well.(obviously!)

I have plans on doing a write up on this – not in the for sale section.
The “v” shaped ones are for cars with rear sway bar (generally police, but not necessarily).
The box shaped ones are everything else.

The purpose is to give it a bit more strength on side loads (i.e.: high rates of turning – think road racing).

Personally, I think the normal box shaped ones work for 95% of most people – except for police and or road racers. Of course the police are now using the newer jelly bean cars (Ford Focus’ around here) so I don’t think that one applies anymore, except for restorers.

I want to go road racing and already have one pair of the rear sway bar “V” shaped set.
