I did this for my other car but it may be very usefull for someone who puts a giant sound system in their car...I had a sixty Amp Nippon Denso alternator in my car and it could keep up with two fans...a electric water pump and the head lights...
I did the whopping 120 Nippon Denso swap on my other car...I ran an 8 guage wire from the altenator and straight to the battery and I will change it to a 6 or 4 later on...it was 129.00 bucks and was made for a John Deer tractor...I jumpered the amp gauge wires together...I kept the fusable link feeding one side..I added another 10 guage wire from the battery with a 30 amp fuse to replace the old wire running from the amp to the bulkhead...this gives two feeds to the fuse box...I have a 60 maxi fuse inline at the alternator...
I gave up on the 60 amp one and found 120 amp brand new one at Spider Marine for $129.99...wow is it a handfull...
