Power to Manual Brakes

Aspen, when removing my power brake booster and master cyl, my Volare has no stiffener plate on the engine side of the firewall like I see in the picture of your car. Do I need that stiffener plate to go to manual brakes. On the interior side of the firewall it has the support from the pedal bracket deal

I would definitely recommend the stiffener for manual brakes. The firewall will flex quite a bit without it
