I need to remove the door trims from my 5th Avenue. I've popped of the trim around the drivers door, I guess I need to take off the interior door handle, but I can't find a way to get the door pull handle off. I'm guessing it is attached to the metal inside the door? I had a look at it and don't see any screws that hold it in place. Am I not seeing something or does it pull out of a clip when I lift the door card up?
TIA.
Roger.

The chrome handle? There is a bolt behind it. You have to pull the handle a bit to see it. There is also a big Phillips screw behind it under the arm rest that needs to come out or you risk breaking the arm rest.

The only handle not attached to the door card/panel is the chrome handle. It's a 7/16 bolt that holds it in. If you pull the handle towards you, then look behind it, you'll see it. The other handles are attached to the door panel itself.

Thanks guys. It's off now, an easy job but I didn't want to break or damage anything because of something I wasn't aware of.
I took it off because the key was just turning and doing nothing. The rod from the lock to the mechanism had come adrift, it's back together now and properly secured.
While the door trim is off I want to fix some damage to the plastic underneath the armrest and get new clips - most of them were missing.
Next question; how do I disconnect the mirror remote control from the door?

Roger.

Yeah it's always fun removing a different door panel for the first time.

There's a round nut around the mirror joystick that unscrews. It's usually not on that tight. If you can't do it by hand you can carefully tap it with a screw driver, use bent needle nose pliers etc...
