Replacing Side Molding on an M Body?

Is the side molding on the M bodies riveted on or just taped on? Mine has lost it's color and needs replacing. Body shop didn't seem to be eager to repaint it. Ideas? Sources?

If you're talking about the kind with the rubber insert it can go either way. All the ones I've seen apart were double sided tape on but others have had it screwed on.
I masked it off and painted it on the car.
